“Four years ago, I had double knee replacement surgery. This provided me with the perfect excuse to become a couch potato. Although I worked hard to rehabilitate my knees, when that process was complete, I totally stopped exercising. My weight became a real issue for me. I have battled my weight my whole life but this was the heaviest I had ever been. Then earlier this year, flyers for TEST’s FLIP (Fat Loss Incentive Program) began appearing on my kitchen table as a not too subtle hint that my family wanted me to do something about my weight. I gave in and signed up with Eddie Frayne as my coach.
Throughout the years, I have successfully lost weight by following a variety of different diets. Stillman, Adkins, Nutrisystem, Cabbage soup, Weight Watchers all provided quick weight loss but within months after completing these diets, I have always gained the weight back. The FLIP approach has focused on exercise and developing better eating habits. I have lost 35 pounds to date which is about 40% of my goal. It has taken six months but I believe I am doing it the proper way this time. With the support of my family and the staff here at TEST, I hope to continue the process to attain my goal. I have a long way to go but exercising is fun again.”
